We are looking for a mid-level software tester with experience in testing Windows-based client-server applications. This is a 6 month contract position with possibility for follow on work. Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for a TS clearance. TS clearance preferred. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Experience with QA and manual testing techniques and processes
• Develop test cases based on high level requirements.
• Detect and report the software code and design errors of multiple, on-going software releases
• Work with developers to help with root cause analysis
• Report status of testing tasks to QA Manager and development team
• Communicate with developers and business owners to clarify/understand requirements
• Review technical documentation related to software releases
• Install/update software on machines in the test environments
• Maintain test environments

Skills and Specifications:

• Experience performing analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to effectively communicate information, both verbally and written, to end users and executive management
• Must be self-motivated and take initiative in performing tasks
• Team player must be able to work professionally and collaboratively with customers both internal and external
• Intermediate knowledge of SQL queries
• Experience with Oracle, Microsoft Test Manager 2010, TFS, SQL Developer
