Director of Technology and Innovation
Jim has been an accomplished innovation and technology leader for over 28 years, driving digital transformation and organizational change. He excels at bridging the gap between business and technology as a digital linguist. He enables the delivery of full life-cycle digital transformation activities, long-term technology strategy, emerging technologies evaluation, and vision planning. Jim is a servant leader, expert problem solver, and data-driven thinker with a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions, exceeding customer expectations, and improving the organization’s mission.
He joined Highlight Technologies as Director of Technology & Innovation from RIVA Solutions, where he served as Chief Data Officer and VP of Data & Analytics, where he led the corporate data and analytics vision. He also led the Innovation Solutions Center, developing and delivering innovative solutions to internal and external stakeholders. Before RIVA, Jim served as Deputy CTO at Definitive Logic, providing Technology and Innovation Leadership to customers, partners, Definitive Logic practitioners, and candidates through research, architecture, solutioning, assessments, and technical subject matter expertise. He executed the stand-up of the IR&D program and led the modernization of talent management and past performance systems. Prior to his work in industry, he served 23 years in the US Air Force.
Jim is passionate about leveraging technology to help organizations improve their mission or business outcomes. At Highlight, he will focus on developing and advancing innovation initiatives and implementing emerging technologies that drive business value.
In his free time, Jim enjoys spending time with family, reading, mentoring veterans, building Lego’s, watching movies, and outdoor activities. He holds degrees in IT Project Management and Computer Science.
